The life of a dancer requires dedication, passion as well as physical agility and stamina, musicality and artistic potential. The SCGSAH Dance Department provides professional guidance, training and support through its two inclusive ballet training programs– the Residential High School Dance Program and the Summer Dance Program. World-renowned instructors impart patience, tenacity and motivation, along with the necessary well-rounded technical and artistic development required for a program reflective of the 21st Century.

Admissions and Audition Process

The Dance Department offers two admissions periods for both the high school program and the summer program–an Early Decision Admissions period and a Regular Decision period. Students are strongly encouraged to apply and audition during the Early Decision period because there is only one Regular Decision audition date, so space is limited. Students who apply and audition during the Early Decision Dance period will receive priority for admissions. View the 2017-2018 Dance Application Options for more details on this process.
