Mathematics Teacher


STATE JOB TITLE: Non-Certified Teacher

The South Carolina Governorís School for the Arts and Humanities seeks a Mathematics teacher beginning in the 2018-2019 academic year. This is a ten-month faculty position which includes multiple courses and levels of instruction. We seek an experienced, flexible, and creative teacher who can teach several of our typical course offerings in math. These include: Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus, and Probability & Statistics.  The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree with at least five years teaching experience at the secondary and/or post-secondary level and possess National Board Certification. The candidate must have, or have the qualifications to obtain, teaching certification in South Carolina in Math.  Additionally, the candidate must have demonstrated commitment to and record of ongoing professional development, along with demonstrated knowledge and interpersonal skills to work with artistically talented students, other academic and arts educators, and diverse constituencies and cultures. Candidates will be expected to address how their teaching and professional experience fit with the mission of the school.
