WORK SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m./Full Time
 
LOCATION: South Carolina Governorís School for the Arts and Humanities, Division of Arts and Academics, Office of the Dean, Greenville, South Carolina
 
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:
A high school diploma and relevant program experience; a bachelorís degree may be substituted for the required program experience.
 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of modern office practices; knowledge of grammar and reporting techniques; ability to interpret and apply laws, regulations, policies, and procedures; ability to exercise judgment and discretion; ability to handle confidential information; ability to multi-task and meet deadlines; ability to communicate effectively; and ability to use Microsoft products.
 
SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES:
Under limited supervision, provide assistance to the Dean and the Director of Guidance at the South Carolina Governorís School for the Arts and Humanities in the areas of communication, maintenance of the master calendar, testing, college fair and other activities related to guidance and academic services. Provide administrative support to the Director of Guidance and the Dean to include communication to students, parents, and employees, assistance with college application process, student orientation and registration, and other related support needs. Assist with daily office work, to include filing and other routine needs. Maintain, under the direction of the Dean, the schoolís on-line master calendars, to include accurate accounting of days in school, performances, testing, holidays, etc. Develop weekly bulletin of events and announcements. Maintain accurate distribution lists for school-wide communications. Serve as AP Test Coordinator, to include ordering and logistics for testing. Assist with administration of other testing as requested by the Director of Guidance or the Dean. Provide primary administrative support for the College Fair, to include organizing logistics and serving as host on the day of the event. Serve as textbook coordinator for the school. Additional duties as assigned.
