WORK SCHEDULE: 
Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. 
Full-time, may include some weekends.

LOCATION:  South Carolina Governorís School for the Arts and Humanities, Greenville, SC
Minimum Requirements: Experience in custodial or housekeeping work that is directly related to the area of employment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  Knowledge to properly carry out custodial and housekeeping tasks; knowledge of custodial and housekeeping requirements; knowledge of safety practices relative to the areas of employment; skill in the use of cleaning tools and equipment.

Special Requirements:  Must be able to hear, speak audibly, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
 

SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES:  Cleans offices, classrooms, residential rooms and other areas of the South Carolina Governorís School for the Arts and Humanities. Using appropriate cleaning products, cleans offices, classrooms, corridors, stairwells, lobbies, game room, restrooms, elevator doors and tracks, windows within reach, storefront doors (with the exception of the cafeteria), laundry facilities, dormitory rooms and fitness equipment.  Vacuums rugs, carpets and upholstered furniture. Dusts furniture and fixtures. Sweeps, mops, scrubs floors, including gymnasium floor. Disposes of trash and recycles appropriate materials.  Following established SCGSAH facilities protocol, inspects the campus building to ensure they are properly maintained, reports any problems to supervisor, and develops solutions when called upon. Maintains an adequate level of supplies and equipment, contacting supervisor for additional supplies when needed. Performs other related duties as required.

LOCATION
:  South Carolina Governorís School for the Arts and Humanities, Division of Residential Life, Office of the Dean, Greenville, South Carolina

MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:
A Bachelorís Degree and experience in Student, Human or Social Service Programs.

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS AND NOTES:  Position is in Female Residence Hall. This is a 12-month live-in position which includes room and board when students are in session.  The hire date is 08/02/2018.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Applicant must be able to hear, speak audibly, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs.  Must possess a valid driverís license.  Must be able to work variable hours and shifts, including some weekends.

SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES:  Provides student services oversight and counseling in matters pertaining to health and safety, discipline, and personal/social problems for s enrolled in the residential high school and the summer programs.  Coordinates studentís visits to the health room, medical professionals, and facilities as needed; Coordinates collection of student data concerting absenteeism and discipline; Communicates with Director of Student Services concerning progress and/or problems.  Coordinates student activities and events;  Participates in programs, committees and other activities;  Reviews conditions of  residential life facilities, equipment and supplies;  Participates in orientation activities for new students as well as check-in and check-out of residence hall occupants; Conducts room inventories; Assists with room assignments.

Field Liaison

Creative Writing, Dance, Drama, Music, and Visual Arts


OPENING DATE:  June 22, 2018

EMPLOYMENT DATES: Part-time and full time positions available during 8 month recruitment season (Mid-August through mid-April).

We are excited to launch a new strand to our recruitment efforts beginning this fall! We have several full and part-time openings for the new positions of Field Liaison. As a Field Liaison, the job duties will include:

  • Travel throughout the State of South Carolina recruiting students for the summer and residential high school by visiting schools, local school events, and art-based community events, to include fine arts performances and festivals.
  • Build strong relationships with art district coordinators, arts and ELA teachers, and guidance counselors.
  • Required to work some evenings and weekends for school and community related events within the assigned areas and on the SCGSAH campus.
  • Responsible for keeping accurate records and notes on all visits and follow up with students, parents, schools, teachers, and arts organizations. Required to submit a detailed travel report at the end of recruitment season.
  • Responsible for assisting in the admission process (processing applications, completing applications, and other assigned duties).
  • Required to meet with the Director of Admissions and Art Department Chair once a month at SCGSAH.
