November 1, 2010
Saturday, October 30, 2010 marked the Ninth Annual World Religions Symposium held on the campus of the SC Governors School for the Arts and Humanities. Six major world faiths were represented in the program: American Indian Faith, Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Sikhism, and Unitarian Univeralist. Each faith representative made a twenty minute presentation on a particular ceremony and discussed the symbolism and meaning of the ritual. This event was sponsored by Mr. Godfrey and the International Relations Club with the goal of spreading religious tolerance in the local community. The event was free and open to the public.
