2012 Scholastic Art Awards for South Carolina recognizes SCGSAH Visual Arts students
Seven SCGSAH students received awards for work in a variety of mediums: sculpture, printmaking, jewelry, design and photography.
The exhibit showcases the best high school artistic talent in the region. Two SCGSAH students, Libby Davis and Kaili Tsao, received Gold Key awards. Their work will be considered for national recognition. If recognized as a National Medalist, they will be celebrated at a ceremony at Carnegie Hall in New York and have their work showcased in a prominent gallery.
Kaili Tsao also received an American Vision award (Best of Show). Five works are selected out of all the Gold Key works (across categories) and named American Vision awards.
SCGSAH students credit their hometown high school arts educators, as well as, the exceptional training in the SCGSAH Visual Arts department chaired by Joe Thompson.
