Elgin student studies in Spoleto, Italy

November 5, 2010
Katie Law of Elgin, South Carolina, a senior Visual Arts student at the South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities, attended the Spoleto Study Abroad 2010 Arts and Humanities summer immersion program in the renowned renaissance town of Spoleto, Italy, during the summer of 2010. This educational journey featured a rich and varied curriculum in the arts, complementing the in-depth studies Katie experiences at the Governor’s School.

To enhance their program, Spoleto Study Abroad 2010 offered students twice-weekly excursions to cultural centers such as Florence, Assisi, Tivoli, Siena, and other medieval hill towns in central Italy, giving students the opportunity of experiencing significant artistic, cultural, and historic treasures first-hand. Spoleto Study Abroad is committed to bringing an integrated style of learning to those students interested in pursuing their academic and artistic interests in an inspiring historic European setting.

In 2011, Spoleto Study Abroad will offer a three-week summer session in creative writing, visual art, photography, drama, and vocal music. For an opportunity to participate, visit www.spoletostudyabroad.com or contact spoletoabroad@gmail.com.
