US Presidential Scholar Semi-finalists

Great news!

We have five semi-finalists for the US Presidential Scholar for the Arts:
Wonza Johnson - Drama
Da'Shawn Mosley - Creative Writing
Sarah Rhu - Creative Writing
Kamry Goodwin - Creative Writing
Emily Nason - Creative Writing

There are only 60 semi-finalist nationwide nominated through the NFAA YoungArts program. In addition, this group represents the greatest number of Creative Writing semi-finalists in school history.


We also have a semifinalist for a US Presidential Scholar:
Kaili Tsao - Visual Arts (Kelly received perfect scores in Critical Reading, Writing and US History for the SAT.)

In April, a Commission on Presidential Scholars will convene to choose the final 141 Presidential Scholars and 20 Presidential Scholars in the Arts. We hope to celebrate our third consecutive year of multiple Scholars when they are announced in May/June 2012. (We had two US Presidential Scholars in the Arts for 2010 and 2011.)
