Mark Franks

English Faculty

Mark Franks has taught high school English since 1983. After receiving a B.A. and an M.A.T. from Emory University, he taught in Atlanta and in Greenville and then came to the Governor’s School in 2002. Mr. Franks has been an Advanced Placement instructor since 1985 and has served as a Consultant with the College Board for six years. His main literary interests are modern literature, Southern literature, and the Victorian novel. His involvement with student groups at the Governor's School includes the Dining and Discussion Club and the A.V. Society.
