Anne Kelly Tromsness

Anne Kelly Tromsness is an alumna of the 1985 Governor’s School for the Arts Summer Honors Drama Program. She holds a BA in Women’s Studies with a minor in English from the University of South Carolina, and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Arts Administration at Winthrop University. In addition to her work in theatre education and outreach in the arts, Anne is a professional actor and director, and is currently the co-Artistic Director of The Distracted Globe Theatre Company. A former staff and company member at Trustus Theatre in Columbia, Anne served as a theatre instructor for the South Carolina Shakespeare Company, Columbia Marionette Theatre, Workshop Theatre, Colleton County Arts Council, Clemson Area Youth Theatre, Vermont’s Primal Screen  and Gypsy Arts Collaborative, and the SC Children’s Theatre. Before coming to the Governor’s School full-time in 2004, she served as Program Director for the Warehouse Theatre’s nationally recognized outreach offering, This Wooden O.
