Dr. Stephen Taylor

Stephen Taylor holds piano performance and pedagogy degrees from The Juilliard School, the University of Louisville and the University of South Carolina, where his major professors have included Ania Dorfmann, Lee Luvisi, Max Camp and Raymond Dudley. Having recently served ten years on the piano and pedagogy faculty of the University of South Carolina and operating a successful private studio in Columbia, SC, he currently serves as Instructor of Piano at the South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities in Greenville, SC, and remains active as a solo and collaborative performer, lecturer and adjudicator. Dr. Taylor has also served on the faculty of the SC Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities Academy and Discovery programs since their respective inceptions in 1990 and 2004.
