Lyman Golden

Classical Guitar Instructor

Lyman Golden began teaching at several area colleges in 1980 after receiving a BA degree in music education from Lander University. He has taught at Anderson University, Brevard College, Furman University, Lander University and Southern Wesleyan University. After studying classical guitar with John Sutherland and Christopher Berg, Mr. Golden received the MM in music education from Converse College in 1992. He then became Assistant Professor of Music at Anderson University where he now teaches guitar, theory, and classes in commercial music and directs the Anderson University Guitar Ensemble. Mr. Golden has taught classical guitar for the South Carolina Governor¹s School for the Arts and Humanities residential high school since 2001.
