Residential Dance Admissions

Dance applicants must be at least 14 years of age by August 1st of the acceptance year to apply for the residential high school.

Dance applicants can expect the following at the audition:

  • Ballet Workshop* – 1.5 hours
  • Modern Workshop* – 1 hour
  • Interview – Applicant will be asked to relate his/her future goals and aspirations, performance experiences and illustrate his/her level of responsibility and potential as a student on a residential campus.
*All Applicants are required to attend both workshops. Standard dance attire required.

Standard Dance Attire

  • Females should wear black leotards, pink tights, ballet shoes and pointe shoes. For the modern workshop, applicants must wear footless tights.
  • Males should wear t-shirts and black tights, jazz pants or sweat pants, white socks and ballet shoes. For the modern workshop, applicants must wear footless tights.
