Admissions - Summer Drama Programs

Application

Drama applicants must submit an accurate and current 8" x 10" black and white headshot with their application.

Audition
Performance

All applicants are required to perform all of the following:
Two contrasting monologues from contemporary plays, each piece should be one to two minutes in length
Sing a short selection from a song, preferably 16 bars, without accompaniment

Applicant must:

Not exceed five minutes in the performance component of the audition
Memorize all material
Read the entire plays from which the monologues are extracted (Do not use monologues from monologue books without then reading the play.)
Select material appropriate for his/her age and experience
Avoid accents, dialects or stylized characters
Dress neatly and comfortably

Interview

A panel of theatre professionals will conduct a personal interview with each applicant following the performance component of the audition.
