Academy

Academy is a two-week summer program for rising tenth grade students who desire intensive training in creative writing, drama, music or visual arts. The non-traditional curriculum incorporates studio work, self-directed studies, performances, field trips, lectures and presentations by faculty and guest artists.

Students apply while in the 9th grade. They live on campus for the two-week period. Tuition is $800* and includes room and board.

*No qualified student will be denied a Governor's School opportunity due to an inability to pay a required fee. Full and partial scholarships are available to students with validated financial needs. Many families are financially unable to pay some or all of the fees. For that reason, the school has a generous financial aid program and is committed to ensuring that all accepted students attend.
