Discovery

Discovery is a two-week summer program for rising ninth grade students interested in concentrating on creative writing, drama, music or visual arts. While they work intensely in their art area, Discovery students are also exposed to the other art areas with opportunities to attend performances and guest lectures.

Students apply while in the 8th grade. They live on campus for the two-week period. Tuition is $800* and includes room and board.

*No qualified student will be denied a Governor's School opportunity due to an inability to pay a required fee. Full and partial scholarships are available to students with validated financial needs. Many families are financially unable to pay some or all of the fees. For that reason, the school has a generous financial aid program and is committed to ensuring that all accepted students attend.
