Angela Tomlinson is a native of Greenville, SC and comes from a family deeply rooted in the Arts and Business in Greenville. Her father, Kenneth Tomlinson, retired in 1995 after 28 years as the Business Manager of the Greenville County Library (Now the Children’s Museum). Angela came to us from the South Carolina Department of Transportation. She is the youngest of three adopted siblings. Her oldest brother Anthony Tomlinson has a local band Retro Vertigo, and he has always had a music background. Her Niece and Nephew are also in the arts and attended the Fine Arts Center, and her niece has been in many plays and productions in local theatres.
Angela began singing, as a 5-year-old, along with what she could on the radio. She continued to practice while having perfect pitch and began to sing in Elementary School. Beginning in 5th grade, she was part of Spring Sing each year until she reached high school. She was placed in Honor’s Chorus as a 10th grader and was chosen to study under Michael Rice as a Mezzo-Soprano at the Fine Arts Center her 11th-grade year. She was also a part of the Governor’s All-Star Choir for three years while in high school.
Angela has made several CD’s of her music over the last 10 years and plans on making more in the future. She is passionate about her art as she is the arts of our students, faculty, and staff. She enjoys being in HR and relates to her employees on a personal and professional level.
Angela now lives in Piedmont SC, but she will always consider Greenville her city.
