Events

During Grand Jeté, presented by the SC Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities, ballet students, ages 10-19, compete for cash prizes, participate in ballet and modern master classes, and have the opportunity to be recruited by some of the nation's top dance programs!

In its second year, Grand Jeté 2021 will be held virtually and feature:

• 13 University and Conservatory Recruiters from prestigious dance programs
• 3 Esteemed Adjudicators from Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Canada's Royal Winnipeg Ballet School, and The Hartt School at Hartford University
• 14 Master Classes taught by dance professionals from 11 dance programs across the U.S., as well as Governor's School faculty
• 11 Webinar Info Sessions for junior and senior dancers to learn about participating college programs
• 3 Workshops for Teachers in beginning, intermediate and advanced ballet and modern dance.

All of the events during Grand Jeté weekend will be held virtually on Friday, March 19 through Sunday, March 21, 2021. Non-competitors are welcome to participate in master classes.
