The Visual Arts Department is proud to present "Existing Now," an exhibition of artwork by Marty Epp-Carter and Elaine Quave. This show explores the complexity of the human experience and serves as a celebration of the Governor’s School Visual Arts Department, bringing together work by Epp-Carter, a former instructor, and Quave, an alumna turned current faculty member. Each work is a metaphor for the artists’ lives, an accumulation of both personal experience and collective knowledge. HERO: A Film Exhibition and Filmmaker Q&A

Join us for a screening of the first act of the feature film, HERO, followed by a Q&A with the filmmakers including director Dustin Whitehead. Hero was produced as part of the SC Film Commission initiative “Get on Set” and stars Govie Drama alumnus Anthony Currie. Get on Set is a film training partnership wherein Local Cinema Studios partners with the South Carolina Film commission and the University of South Carolina to produce a feature length film or pilot in SC.
