Dr. Caroline Ulrich
Originally from England, Dr. Caroline J. Ulrich began teaching at the SCGSAH in 2001. She is performing works of Bach, Mozart, Ibert, Lukas Foss, Chaminade, Gluck, and Benjamin Godard. She is a founding member of the chamber group Flute4 which recently performed a newly commissioned work by composer Thomas McCauley at the National Flute Association in Orlando, Florida.
Previous appointments include the Springfield (IL) Symphony, Cedar Falls/Waterloo Symphony, Asheville Symphony, and Augusta Opera. Additionally, she has served as a faculty member at Luther College (IA), Clemson University, Mars Hill University, and Western Carolina University. Caroline also enjoys performing with numerous national Broadway touring productions at The Peace Center for the Performing Arts.
Ulrich's Master and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees were earned from the University of Illinois, Urbana/Champaign, and the Bachelor of Music degree from Florida State University. Her primary teachers were Charles DeLaney, Alexander Murray, and Felix Skowronek.
