The SAT and ACT tests are administered at locations around the state by the College Board (SAT) and ACT. Students wishing to take these tests while in residence at the Governor's School must register directly with the appropriate testing service and should choose Greenville Technical College’s Barton (Main) Campus for the SAT (Test Code 41244) and Legacy Early College for the ACT (Test Code 253980) as the testing site. (Please note that the SAT test site has changed.) The school is unable to provide transportation to other locations. Students are encouraged to register as early as possible as testing sites fill quickly.
During the 2021-2022 school year, students may request the following testing dates:
September 11, 2021
December 11, 2021
February 12, 2022
April 2, 2022
October 2, 2021
November 6, 2021
December 4, 2021
March 12, 2022
May 7, 2022
Students will be engaged in required orientation sessions during the SAT administration on August 28; therefore, new students may not register for this date. For seniors, we strongly encourage students to wait until the October 2 administration so that they may benefit from classwork and review resources during the opening weeks of school. Transportation will not be provided for the August test date.
After registering with the testing service, students requesting transportation to SAT and ACT administrations should register here. Transportation requests must be made at least two weeks in advance of the chosen test date. Students who do not register by the deadline are not guaranteed transportation or meals.
On the day of the test, students who have registered for transportation should report to the residence hall lobby at 7:00am for breakfast and to the administration traffic circle for departure at 7:15am. Students should bring their admission ticket and a photo ID. For test admission, the ticket and ID must match exactly.
