Audition for some of the nation's top dance programs on March 22, 2020!
As a part of Grand Jeté weekend at the SC Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities, high school juniors and seniors (ages 15-19) can participate in free college and scholarship audition classes observed by recruiters from university dance departments, dance trainee programs, and summer intensives. Juniors can audition for pre-college acceptance!

Recruiters will be looking at criteria such as potential, technique, and artistry, response to correction, coordination, and musicality to determine acceptance, scholarship allocations and pre-acceptance for high school juniors.
- 8:30-10:00 a.m. — Ballet Technique with Thomas Shoemaker, Governor's School Dance Faculty
- 10:00-11:00 a.m. — Modern Technique with Danah Bella, Dance Chair at Peabody Conservatory
Ladies: Black leotard, pink tights, and pink ballet slippers and black footless tights, barefoot for modern dance.
Men: Black tights, white t-shirt, and black ballet shoes or white ballet shoes with white socks over the tights and black footless tights, barefoot for modern dance.
Registration is open until March 22, 2020. Registration is free, and students do not have to compete in Grand Jeté to audition.
