Suzanne Munson received her bachelor of science in nursing from Clemson University in 1984. Although her career has been primarily focused on family medicine, she has also worked in public health, preventive medicine/wellness and health education. She was a nurse for the United States Army, while her husband, Keith, was a Captain with the 24th Infantry Division. Her second daughter was born after both her husband and her doctor were deployed to Operation Desert Storm, so she has an understanding of the challenges faced by students, siblings and parents related to attending school away from home. Mrs. Munson’s three daughters and new son-in-law are all artistic and she says that keeping some of their personal works in her office helps her appreciate the level of talent and instruction at the Governor’s School. When not attending to the medical needs of the students, you might catch her tailgating at a Clemson Football game with her church and family or reading a great book.
