Carey Morton

Carey Morton attained his BFA at Winthrop University, and his MFA at Clemson University concentrating in sculpture. While teaching at College of Charleston Carey taught contemporary sculpture, public art, and developed the school’s first ever blacksmithing course. Carey continues his career in the arts, teaching, making, and exhibiting contemporary work in galleries throughout the state and creating public art for regional and national clients. Carey manages his own business as an ornamental ironworker and metal fabricator merging old-world craftsmanship with new world technology, bridging the gap between contemporary sculpture and functional art.
