The Betty Farr Endowed Fund

The Betty Farr Endowed Fund was created in honor of the esteemed community leader Betty Farr. For the last 60 years, she has worked to improve the lives of many in Greenville and across the state. As a former dancer and dance teacher who owned her own dance school, Betty nurtured countless young performers, but she may be best known for her animated storytelling at hospitals, nursing homes, schools, libraries, and museums.

Built from Betty’s love of dance, the endowed fund will ensure that the school maintains its excellence, specifically focusing on the dance department. It will pay for scholarships for young dancers from low-income families, guest dancers to teach master classes, and dance education in under-resourced counties around the state. This fund is an opportunity to honor Betty by keeping the arts alive and accessible to children of all walks of life across this great state of ours.
