Students' safety and security is a top priority.
The Governor’s School's Public Safety Department is responsible for the overall safety and security of the school. The department includes four certified law enforcement officers and a team of security officers who are on campus at all times.
In addition to 24/7 campus monitoring, other security measures include -
- ID access to all school buildings using a school-issued ID
- A gated fence enclosing the grounds
- Emergency call boxes throughout campus
- Security cameras in several external areas around campus
Public Safety serves as the school’s liaison with partner agencies such as the Greenville Police Department and Greenville Fire Department. Public Safety may be reached at all times via telephone at 864.282.3826.
