In the two-year Residential High School Film program, juniors and seniors pursue their love of cinematic storytelling in a highly supportive, highly collaborative, pre-professional environment. Mentored by industry professionals, they will learn the technical and artistic skills required to achieve proficiency in the following:
- Writing in screenplay format
- Blocking and lighting scenes
- Directing for the camera
- Operating state-of-the-art equipment
- Editing scenes
- Recording and mixing audio
- Making stories come alive on-screen
The Film curriculum is designed for students to develop the artistic, creative, and intellectual competencies required to move successfully into a postsecondary program. The two-year sequential curriculum starts at a foundational level and builds into advanced film production.
