Guest Artist Exhibition: Todd McDonald

The Governor's School Visual Arts Department is proud to present an exhibition of works by artist Todd McDonald. This event is free and open to the public weekdays from 1:30-4:30 p.m. Guests should check in at the visitor's center to be escorted to the gallery.

Todd McDonald is an Associate Chair Professor at Clemson University and oversees the painting area in the Art Department. A Clemson faculty member since 2006, he teaches painting, graduate seminar and contributes to departmental team teaching of seniors and graduate students. He received a BFA from the University of Texas at Austin before earning an MFA in Painting & Drawing from Arizona State University. While maintaining an active studio practice his work has been represented in a multitude of national and international juried competitions. Solo exhibitions include academic venues such as Oklahoma State University, Tennessee Tech University and Sierra Nevada College, and contemporary art centers like The Central Utah Arts Center and REDUX Contemporary Art Center. The Redux show, Visual Feedback, was reviewed by Brian Granger for the international online publication Daily Serving. McDonald was also selected as the first-place North American representative for the VKR75 International Painting Competition for the Velux/VKR Group in Horsholm Denmark.
