Join the award winning SCGSAH Concertato String Orchestra for a day of music making and learning!

The Concertato String Orchestra + Friends event allows South Carolina students interested in the Governor's School Strings program the opportunity to rehearse and perform with our current students and receive instruction from the Governor's School Strings faculty!

FREE for all 8th, 9th and 10th grade string students, this event will be held on the Governor's School campus in Greenville on Saturday, November 6, 2021. Beginning at 12:30 p.m., students will rehearse in sectionals and as a full ensemble throughout the afternoon, then perform in a concert held at the South Carolina Children's Theater, just a short walk from the Governor's School. The performance will be at 7:30 p.m. and open to family members!

The registration deadline is Wednesday, October 27, 2021, but interested students should register as soon as possible due to space limitations. The registration link for the event is below, and PDFs of the music are at the bottom of the page.

This exciting opportunity is just one of the many events scheduled as part of Go Govie! Day, our primary campus visitation day. Parents/guardians are encouraged to sign up to attend Go Govie! Day information sessions while their students are in rehearsals, or simply take advantage of downtown Greenville and the award-winning Falls Park! Registration for Go Govie! Day can be found at www.scgsah.org/campus-visits.
