Governor's School students are invited and encouraged to cultivate their own service interests through the Connecting Arts Through Service (C.A.T.S.) club.

One of the Governor's School's longest-running clubs, C.A.T.S, provides opportunities for students to use their skills and knowledge in real-life situations while developing a sense of social awareness, responsibility, and leadership. Students are encouraged to complete a service learning project of their choosing, individually or as a group.

Using the IPARD method, students Investigate a need in the community, Plan ways to address those needs, Act on those plans, Reflect on what they are learning, and Demonstrate their learning.

"To have the opportunity to impact a community is a blessing. C.A.T.S brings me joy everyday knowing that I can empower people and bring awareness to the community I live in."
