Governor's School students are invited and encouraged to cultivate their own service interests through the Connecting Arts Through Service (C.A.T.S.) club.
One of the Governor's School's longest running clubs, C.A.T.S provides opportunities for students to use their skills and knowledge in real-life situations while developing a sense of social awareness, responsibility and leadership. Students are encouraged to help identify social needs in the community and plan ways to address those needs. They have taken on projects and partnerships that address the environment, at-risk children, the elderly, homelessness, hunger, disaster relief and literacy.
C.A.T.S. service learning partners include:
- Frazee Dream Center
- Greenville County Parks and Recreation
- Ronald McDonald House
- Let There Be Moms
If your organization is interested in partnering with C.A.T.S. to provide a meaningful, learning experience for our students through active volunteer experiences.
