Benay Daniel, Class of 2020 Visual Arts alum, received a Gold Medal and the prestigious American Visions Medal in the 2020 Scholastic Art and Writing Awards competition for this animated film. This best-in-show honor represents the entire southeast region (Alabama, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia) and was selected out of thousands of works from high school students.
