Residential High School Dance Program
The Governor’s School’s tuition-free Residential High School Dance Program prepares students for the competitive world of dance through pre-professional training guided by world-renowned faculty and special guest artists from around the country.
Serves Grades: 10-12 (Apply in grades 9-10)
Early Decision Deadline: October 18, 2021

Summer Dance Program
The Governor's School's Summer Dance Program offers a two-week intensive that provides students with pre-professional training in classical ballet with a modern/contemporary dance component.
Serves Grades: 7-12 (Apply in grades 6-11)
Early Decision Deadline: October 18, 2021
Final Application Deadline: January 7, 2022
Grand Jeté Student Dance Competition
The Governor's School invites South Carolina's dancers and dance teachers to campus on March 4-6, 2022 for a weekend full of exciting dance activities! Dance students can compete for cash prizes and receive valuable feedback from internationally recognized dance professionals or participate in master classes and a scholarship audition class for university and trainee program recruiters. Dance teachers are also invited to participate in a special workshop on the art and science of teaching classical ballet and more.
