Sophie Sons

Sophie Sons, from the Blue Ridge Mountains of Roanoke, Virginia, received a B.A. in Theatre Studies from James Madison University. She also minored in Environmental Humanities. Sophie’s primary theatrical passions, aside from costuming, are experimental theatre and playwriting. In 2022, she assisted in planning the first annual Student Sustainability Summit, an educational conference for students and environmental professionals in Staunton, VA. There, she was able to present her one-woman devised performance about the complex relationship between human and nature, titled VIRTUEal Environmentalism. Most recently, Sophie worked as a Costume Assistant at Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, TN. In her spare time, Sophie enjoys spending time in nature, going to concerts, reading, and petting her cat, Althea.
