The Governor's School Foundation raises private dollars to increase access to the school for low-income students, support the school's efforts to provide arts education in under-resourced counties, and bridge the gap between state funding and the unique needs of a premier public arts school.
Thank you for your interest in giving to the SC Governor's School for the Arts & Humanities Foundation. We couldn't do this important work without you.
Ways To Give
- Contribute to the Annual Fund
As a public school funded by the state, the only cost to attend the SC Governor’s School for the Arts & Humanities Residential program is the meal plan. More than 30% of residential students, and 25% of summer program students have been granted scholarships which have enabled them to pursue their education in an artistically nurturing environment.
Our students can enhance their learning experience by working with master artists in their specific discipline. Hosting these guests can be costly, but adds to our unique programming. The Guest Artist Program also creates opportunities for outreach and brings awareness of the school to the community and serves as a resource for the entire state of South Carolina.
The SC Governor’s School of Arts & Humanities Foundation has many endowed funds that support specific causes and initiatives, furthering our student’s education and allowing full participation in the school’s activities.
Opportunities for All
No artistically talented student is denied access to a quality education at the SC Governor’s School for the Arts & Humanities due to financial burdens. The Governor's School Foundation is able to support students with audition materials, transportation money to travel home for the holidays, and contest entry fees.
